About Lindsay Daneen
Lindsay Daneen is a dynamic communications and media professional with a deep passion for storytelling, writing, travel, and broadcast journalism. She thrives at the intersection of creativity and strategy—whether she’s producing engaging content, managing digital platforms, or amplifying diverse voices through media.
A proud Philadelphia native, Lindsay moved to New York City at 18 to attend St. John’s University in Queens, where she earned both her B.S. in Communication Arts and M.S. in International Communication. As an undergraduate, she served as a Social Media Ambassador for the Office of Admissions, using platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to document student life, including her transformative study-abroad experience in Italy.
Throughout her studies, Lindsay completed internships across various sectors of media and communications, gaining hands-on experience in event planning, public relations, social media management, and content creation. Her time as co-host of “The Grad Chapter” on WSJU Radio sparked her love for on-air storytelling, allowing her to discuss pop culture, entertainment, and student life live on the airwaves.
After completing her graduate degree, Lindsay and her co-host evolved their show into “Miss-Entertained,” a YouTube series dedicated to pop culture commentary and interviews with musicians, influencers, and entertainers. Motivated to expand representation in media, she later launched “Black of All Trades,” an IGTV series spotlighting successful Black and Brown professionals across all fields—celebrating excellence in business, healthcare, and the creative arts.
Today, Lindsay works at Columbia University in the Office of Academic Affairs, where she develops and manages the department newsletter, plans student-focused events, and provides academic advising. Beyond her role in higher education, she continues to write for The Zillennial Zine and serves as a News and Pop Culture Journalist for Fork! The News, a Paris-based celebrity and entertainment publication.
In addition, Lindsay is the founder of Sugar & Ink Media LLC, a digital media and communications company specializing in social content management and storytelling for brands, creatives, and small businesses. Through Sugar & Ink Media, she combines her editorial eye and social expertise to help clients elevate their online presence with strategic, engaging content.
Lindsay ultimately hopes to build a career that merges her media, writing, and broadcast passions—continuing to create platforms that inform, inspire, and empower audiences worldwide.
